Coffee Shop & Meeting Room
Open Monday to Saturday 9.30 a.m. to 4.30 pm (closes 4 p.m. on Saturdays)
The hub of the Hub: The Coffee Shop is a welcoming meeting place run by volunteers and serving tea & fresh ground coffee with cakes, biscuits and scones, and soup / light meals at lunchtime.
Our food is locally made using local ingredients wherever possible. It really is the hub of the valley and with free wi-fi and a separate upstairs meeting room, it’s the perfect place to meet..
Group, cycles tours and coach parties are welcome, alotugh it’s wise to let us know beforehand.
Events: The Coffee Shop and Meeting Rooms have become the perfect venue for a range of meetings and events, currently including:
Valley Coffee Morning – on the first Thursday of each month. Hot drinks are priced at £1 only. Come and meet fellow valley residents.
‘Knit & Natter’ at 2 pm every second Tuesday. Come along, have a chat, a cuppa and perhaps some cake, while knitting and chatting together.
Local Suppliers often come in on a Thursday morning to showcase their wares – watch the shop blackboard (above the freezers) for information. These are opportunities to sample delicious food and tell us which you would like us to stock.
The Village Archives are stored upstairs on the mezzanine floor and are open for viewing on the 1st Saturday of each month. A perfect opportunity to see a wealth of documents, photographs and maps of the local area – and trace the history of your house or ancestors.
Other Events are staged throughout the year and include, Language groups, Parents & Toddlers sessions, visiting groups, prayer groups, Church Benefice meetings and of course on Sundays the Coffee Shop reverts to its primary purpose, that of a Chapel holding regular services and occasional weddings and funerals.
