WELCOME TO TWO NEW VOLUNTEERS
We are delighted to welcome Sarah Moss and Anne Hopkinson as new volunteers. Whilst this is very good news it does not mean we have enough volunteers to ensure the HUB provides the high levels of service our customers have come to expect from us. Let’s hope that others are inspired by Sarah and Anne’s willingness to support such an important local enterprise. Well done and thank you to both of them.
The painstaking task of completing the annual stocktake was successfully completed on 30th September. This is an important exercise and forms part of moving from one financial year to the next which in our case started on 1st October. We are most grateful to all those who helped with the stocktake. particularly as this involved plenty of bending, stretching and hands in the freezers!
NEW SANDWICH SUPPLIER
We are pleased to announce that the Salisbury Sandwich Company have become a new supplier. Their range includes: toasties, baguettes and salads. Fresh sandwiches are delivered on Wednesdays and Fridays but more frequently if necessary.
NEW RANGE OF CARDS
Ken Lesley, who is well known to the HUB, has produced a new range of cards which are now on display in the shop by the Post Office counter. These are in addition to our normal local suppliers whose cards remain very popular.
As Christmas trees start appearing in the shops perhaps this might prompt you to think about any special orders you might need over the festive period. These might include: turkeys, meats, drinks, biscuits or confectionary. Please speak to a member of staff with details of what you would like to order.
Now that the nights are drawing in we are pleased to day that kindling wood is now in stock
Thanks to Anne Ferreira, the archives, situated on the mezzanine floor, have undergone a bit of a spring clean recently making it easier and quicker to access local history and information.
